In the context of ECM regulations (UE445/2011-Apdx III), which are already applicable for Freight Wagons and will soon become enforceable for locomotives and passenger stock, more and more train operators choose to become ECM-compliant with the existing regulations to be well-prepared when the final European regulation becomes applicable.

Once the equipment comes out of warranty, there is nothing more frustrating for an operator than missing the original technical documentation. Although most of the new rolling stock contracts cover documentation, our experience is that many important maintenance or installation documents for systems and subsystems are missing. The situation gets even worse when that equipment was manufactured by companies that do not exist.

As a specific service, or often as part of the maintenance and refurbishment activities we offer, Aequatech undertakes the complete re-writing of technical documentation:

Whenever required, the company can also cater for data collection campaigns on equipment, often for the sake of design improvements.
